Girlfriends rock!
Well Courtney has outdone herself yet again. For Valentine's Day she surprised me with an Apple iPod.
This is the coolest thing ever. I've already loaded over 1000 songs into it and I have room for a couple of thousand more. I think I could quite easily get my entire 350+ cd collection onto this thing and probably have room to spare. I think this thing will be attached to my hip for quite some time to come. I had been wanting one for a long time, and just held off buying it in lieu of more important things and then Courtney goes and does this. Go figure.
Lest anyone worry, Courtney got presents from a place George Peppard and Audry Hepburn liked to frequent. Anyone? Anyone?

Old dog, new tricks.
Well, I pretty much decided that I can't stand the way this site looks. It's one of several canned templates you can choose from when you sign up for a web log with Blogger. If you keep your eye open you will start to see subtle changes as I teach myself how to program web pages. It's surprisingly easy. If you can do tricky stuff in Microsoft Word you can sure as hell learn how to write code in HTML.
I've already added the link to my Phototalk Gallery and a link to my e-mail on the right hand side as well as a few not so noticable formating changes. I think I'll put some time in on it tonight and see if I can't manage a more noticable revamping over the next few days.

Well this week I found out that the last three Assistant Manager positions in the company are being eliminated, sooooo, that means effective March 1st I go back to being a full time supervisor. All things being equal, it's not a terrible thing. I'll go back to having three days off a week which will work out with Courtney's s shedule a little better, plus I will be getting paid hourly again instead of salary so that actually translates into a potential to earn more money all things being equal.
I don't know about you, but I'm going to go make some lemonade! I think maybe I'll take some pictures on the way home.

Hello all. Welcome to my new blog. I hope to add this to my own website once I get it up and running. I'm in the process of putting it together now and once it's done I'll have it hosted somewhere. It will probably be something like www.dukegeren.com or some such thing. Hopefully I'll be able to use it as a channel for my photography. Anyway, enjoy and check back often.
